[TOUR ITINERARY]

Morning: 

• 07:30 – Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hue city center and depart for Quang Tri Province, home to the former Vietnam Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

  Your journey begins with visits to some of the most significant historical sites of the Vietnam War:

Visiting places:

• Horror Highway: Stop at the infamous stretch of Highway 1 where thousands of civilians lost their lives during the Easter Offensive in 1972. Today, the site stands as a solemn reminder of the devastating impact of war.

  Long Hung Church : Visit one of the few buildings that survived the fierce bombardments of Quang Tri in 1972. Preserved as a National Historical Relic, the church symbolizes resilience and the enduring spirit of the local people.

• Quang Tri Ancient Citadel (tour DMZ Quang Tri): 

  Explore one of Vietnam's most sacred historical sites, remembered for the 81-day battle of 1972. The citadel honors the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers and remains an important symbol of national unity and remembrance.

  Continue westward along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail.

• Dakrong Bridge: Cross the historic bridge that once served as a strategic gateway on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, connecting the eastern and western battlefields during the war.

  Along the way, you will also have the opportunity to observe the daily life and traditional culture of the PaCo ethnic community living in the mountainous region of Quang Tri.

• Khe Sanh Combat Base (Ta Con Air Base): Visit the former U.S. Marine Corps base, now a museum displaying military aircraft, tanks, and wartime artifacts. Learn about the famous Battle of Khe Sanh, one of the longest and most intense battles of the Vietnam War.

Have lunch. After break, our guide and car take you back to the war sites, including:

• Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River: Visit the historic 17th Parallel, which divided North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1975 under the Geneva Accords. Today, Hien Luong Bridge stands as a powerful symbol of peace, reunification, and national independence.

• Vinh Moc Tunnels and Tunnels Museum: Explore one of the most remarkable underground tunnel systems built during the Vietnam War. Constructed to protect local residents from continuous bombing, the tunnels functioned as an underground village complete with living quarters, meeting rooms, and maternity areas, demonstrating the extraordinary resilience of the Vietnamese people.

18h00: Tour ends at hotels in Hue.
